The Studio
Rama Young Actors is a home for exciting young talent.
Launched in October 2006 by theatrical agent Rachael Pacey and former child actor Martin Arrowsmith, its aim was simple; to source and develop young talent.
Trained through weekly drama classes and small cast productions, time is spent with each individual talent to ensure its development.
Run by and closely linked with industry professionals, Rama is in a unique position which has seen its young actors' secure professional work in television and film roles, whilst training to a model and standard which is synonymous to the industry.
Based within our own city centre premises, the group has unrestricted access to their own rehearsal studios.
Each young actor attends a standard three hour drama workshop session per week.
It is within these weekly group sessions where the young actors workshop different approaches to acting, working on specialised skills such as script work, character development and improvisation skills.
In addition to the weekly base group session, group members attend rehearsals for in house projects and private tuition as scheduled throughout the year.
Because of the group's long standing industry link and excellent reputation, group members are occasionally approached with the opportunity to audition for professional work in Television and Film projects.
The group is designed for young people who aim to pursue drama as a future career, whether that be acting, teaching or an alternative area of the industry, Rama Young Actors is designed to be the starting point.
